Hello girls! This is the first time I’m posting this blog, which I found amazing! I live in Sao Paulo, Brazil and bought the model of Geneva Maggie Sottero, it was love at first sight, when tasted, I thought, this is my dress!!
I’m getting married on 09 December this year, but I need help! Do not know which veil I will use! Thought for the religious ceremony in a mantilla, you guys have seen? And for some party accessory such as a flower! I can not use one because my voillette sister in law wore on her wedding day, so he looks like a copy, you just do not understand me!
I hope you answer me!Embarassed

@MissKatelyn: Im having the same problem picking a veil.  I tried one on in the boutique when i got my dress and I even ordered it but after about a month I kept second guessing the veil It just wasn’t what I invisioned.  I do think that a lace trim on the edge would look nice or even just a plain one.  I am hoping to find a cathedral length veil with lace trim.

Here is a picture of me with the veil.  I like it.  I just have always wanted a cathedral veil.  let me know if you have any questions.

I tried my dress on with a fingertip veil with beading along the edge. I loved it and ordered the veil with dress. I can’t remember what brand it was but I’m sure you can find something like it at most boutiques!

@aeandruz: I tried on that same veil aeandruz! But I didn’t end up ordering a veil the day I bought my dress.  I initially didndt’ think I wanted a veil but when the bridal consultant put it on me my friend started to cry.  There is something about a veil that makes you feel like a bride.  So I may end up getting one.

Torn between that one and a plain one. I had some of the same concerns about taking away from the focus of the dress.

I’m feeling the same way about the shoes! Anyone get shoes? The dress is so detailed I’m not sure what kind of shoes to get…I’m drawn torward shoes that have fun details. Not plain ones 🙁

Hi ladies,

I had my first fitting today and tried on a few different veils with the dress.  I thought the plain one was boring me so I want something with a little more to it.  I found one that is absolutely beautiful.  Not too sparkly and doesn’t take away from the dress, but has clear beads around it. However, this veil costs $400.  Seemed a little high to me, so I didn’t order it.  With my wedding in less than 2 months I really have to figure out what I’m doing!

I chose a really simple off white veil to go with my dress. I did not want to take away from the beauty and interest it already has going on.  My veil has really delicate crystals lining the edge.  I plan on wearing my hair in a half updo with a veil comb at the top of the veil.  I found one on etsy that has big fabric flowers that perfectly match the ones on the dress.   I absolutely adore this dress and can’t wait to wear it!!!!

Hey Ladies!  I also have the Geneva dress and am running into the same problem.  I think I have decided to nix the veil all together and go with a rhinestone comb or flower.  I think the dress is so intricate that it doesn’t necessarily need a veil.

mesdesign84I have also been searching on Etsy for a flower but have been hesitant since I’m worried once I get it home it won’t match the dress.  Would you by chance have the name of the seller still?  I’d love to check our her work!  Thanks! 🙂

@jenniferlynn84:  The seller’s name is YesterEra,  the flower comb came in the mail the other day and it is perfect!

@MissKatelyn:  I got an ivory satin jacket made for my Geneva dress and the sleeves were trimmed with lace and crystals to match.  I wore a plain ivory veil with pear drop crystal trim and a flower head piece.

I chose this veil for my Maggie Geneva and I am in love with it!  I thought it would be a little too much, but seeing them together was beautiful!  I wish I had a picture of it all together, but I regretfully don’t.  I don’t think you could do anything wrong when picking out your veil.  The dress is dangerously beautiful and nothing can take away from that!  Congrats ladies!
