I need your help. I know my wedding is still far away, but I have a hair appointment tomorrow and plan on at least discussing with her ideas for my wedding day (my hair stylist and I are close, and it’ll be fun to talk about something while I get my color on).
Anyway, I head-over-heels in love with the updo, only one problem. How will a veil work with it being on the side? Will it look weird? Can I please see pictures of veils with side up-dos?!
ETA: Sorry the pic is so big, I never successfully resize them. And the veil I will be buying is a cathedral length.

I would like to know this also–I’m going to my hair trial on Saturday and I have the exact same hair inspiration photo pinned! Was wondering how to get a veil to stay in…so I’m bumping 🙂

It’s really not that dramatic of a side up-do. I think you’ll be a-ok!

I have the same question! I am considering a side updo, but do not want the veil pinned to the side (works best with short veils). I am planning on a cathedral length and was thinking of maybe having my stylist create a bump near the crown of my head to stick the comb in?
There is a similar thread on weddingwire. This was an example photo. Veil looks funny in this pic, but I think if placed lower on the head it would look nice.

You could put the veil under the updo like this:
Or place it somewhere like this and I think it’d be fine:

I just placed it like normal. My friend also had a side do and did the same.
