Hi Bees! I need your help!
I purchased a long sleeve dress a few months ago and I purchased an alecon lace edged veil (two tier) online. The wedding is 5 months away and I realized that my veil does not go with it! What kind of veil would you match with this? (extra points for links!!) I’m planning on having my hair in some sort of bun and the veil should be two tiers so that I can flip the top side over once I reach the altar.
You could say I’m a very traditional bride. There’s a lot going with my dress — beading/lace. Here’s my dress (ignore the veil that the consulant made me try on):

Do you still want a lace-edged veil, or are you now looking to stay away from lace?
I purchased a lace-edged two tier veil from Light In the Box. In general I was happy with the quality, although we ended up making some alterations (I describe the whole thing here). If you are looking for an affordable, lace, two-tier veil, this is the one I got and I would recommend it “with reservations.” As I mention in that other thread, the lengths of the two tiers are a little different than they are in the picture on the website because the comb seems to be sewn in a different place.

Whoops! Let me describe the veil!
Fingertip length, two-tier (drop tiered) with 2.5-3 inch alecon lace:

My issue is that this fingertip veil cuts in front of my elbow and the veil; it competes with the dress!

Should I pick a longer veil, thinner lace, or no lace?

I think if you want lace on your veil, it would need to be cahedral length as to not compete with the gown. I’d go with something that has a simple edge, I think a bit longer than the one you’re wearing in the photo.
