I am getting married next April and everything is beginning to fall into place. However I am struggling to imagine a veil, hair style and hair accessories to compliment my dress.
i would love a cathedral length veil but am worried that it will look too princessy with my blush ballgown (i definately am not going for a princess look, more of a romantic, quirky, casual feel).
Before picking my dress id planned on wearing my hair loose with a little flower or headband but the detail on the back of the dress is so pretty I feel as though it’d be a shame to cover it. Im not comfortable with my hair up, so need to find a solution that will complement my dress and still allow me to feel like me!
Id id love your thoughts

I think a plain one tier cathedral veil would be perfect. It’s kind of odd to me where the one in the pic ends, with a cathedral and the fact that the bottom of your dress is tulle, they would blend together and look very romantic.
If you want to wear your hair down and don’t want to cover the back of the dress, you could always do a side-swept look. Very romantic, and most of your hair is to the side and in front.

thank you for your comments. I think you are right, the veil I tried on on the shop does stop at a very strange length.

thank you for taking the time to attach pictures; it’s so helpful. I love the first and third hair pictures; definately something I’d like to discuss with my hair stylist.
2 questions though; how would a veil attach to a low and to the side hair style? And also, do you think an ivory veil would look ok with my blush skirt?
in very excited today as my shoes have just arrived. They are Vivvien Westeood and I love them so much 🙂

Thank you, it is very beautiful! It’s an allure 9162, I love the soft tulle skirt and lace back. It has a lot more going on than I imagined, which I think is why I’m struggling to decide on hair and accessories.
