If you really have your heart set on a cathedral length veil, I would go with a raw edged one, since there is already a lot going on at the bottom of your dress. If you really want lace or bling I would go with a shorter veil, maybe elbow or fingertip length, since the top half of your dress is less busy than the bottom. That’s just my opinion though…choose the veil you fall in love with!

I went with the veil my consultant put on me while I was trying on dresses.  At first, it was a fingertip veil with beading and after I said yes to the dress she asked if I wanted to try on a long veil “just for fun”.  I said sure, why not.  Well, after the long veil was on both my mom and I had the bridal “cry over the dress” moment.

I do think with your dress ou could probably go with any kind of detail on the veil.  You will just have to try them on and see which one you like best.

The consultant found one that matched my dress perfectly.

Your veil should compliment your gown, I would choose something with a raw edge because of the bottom of your dress (which is beautiful btw!). Finding a veil is hard, I never ended up finding what worked for my dress in any store or online. I found a veil/headpiece designer that sketched a veil based on my dress and it’s now getting beaded in a factory in India that the designer works with, I’m crossing my fingers it looks okay and actually comes in by mid-August.
