So long story short:
1: I thought I wanted a big fluffy veil and made one.
2: now it’s too big and I made a birdcage.
3: Now I’m not sure which one I should wear.
So- as a guest, bride, family member or pinterest stalker- what’s your opinion? Does it look weird for a bride to walk down the isle in a birdcage? What about to wear the birdcage all night? Does it seem silly to have a big adorable veil with a blusher when everyone there knows you aren’t exactly ‘pure’ ? Any takes on this would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks ladies =)

I’m a sucker for any kind of veil and i think it really depends on the person and on the dress but either one would be a good choice – i think it would be easier to make a decision with some pics? what does your dress look like?
I wore a big veil with a blusher and I def wasn’t “pure” i don’t think people really associate it with that anymore.

Im in the same predicament!! 🙂 Im not sure whether to go with a birdcage or an elbow length 2 tier veil. It might depend on your dress – what shape is it? I dont think either would look ‘weird’ or ‘silly’ so i suppose it will be down to what goes best with your dress. Do u have pics???

I don’t have pics of the veils, the dress is this:

I say longer veil for this one!

i say definitely go with the long veil. no one cares if you’re not “pure”. if that’s the case, they’d be saying something because your dress is white! you’ll look gorgeous with the long one and then if you feel like switching it up for the reception then change into the birdcage veil!

I think long with this dress too! Or a pretty flower or head band would look great and wouldn’t cover up the details of your train.

after seeing the dress I think i would stick with your 2 tier with blusher over the birdcage – your dress is beautiful!!

I would love to see it, but just from using my imagination I would go with the long veil.

I will have to post pics, I get the dress back from the alteration lady today! Technically the dress is ivory (my mom made sure of that, haha) I’m so nervous to see it! Thank you for all the advice, I’ll take pics with both veils and post up a poll or something later <3

I definitely agree with a longer veil, versus the birdcage..but there are many styles so post a picture, and make a poll. Gorgeous Dress!

Veils soften the appearance. To me, the dress gives off that soft appeal already and you would look great with flowers or something. Beautiful dress btw!

i think a long veil for sure 🙂 i never thought a veil with a blusher meant ‘purity’ and i certainly don’t think it matter
