I have extremely long hair and since my dress is backless, I want to wear my hair totally up so that my back doesn’t start to sweat outside in the sun (and thus make my hair sweaty, too). I’ll be having a fingertip length, single tier veil and I would really prefer to wear it over the updo, instead of underneath. I don’t know why, but I just don’t like underneath veils.
When I search for photos of updos, they usually don’t have a veil at all (understandable, since they want to showcase the elaborate hair), but I’m having a hard time visualising what it will look like with the veil and what sort of styles would be best for this.
Could you please share pics with me- either your own or ones you’ve seen on Pinterest or wherever- of updos with the veil over the top? Thanks!

My veil was a little higher then I would have liked, but here’s mine. I also didn’t want mine underneath. Here it is from the front:

Here you go! I never liked them underneath, either

@Shosha1: Thanks! I wondered how it would look from the front, but it looks great on you!
@mannarose630: Thank you! I’m surprised how well you can see the detail of your hairstyle through the veil. I wouldn’t have expected that.

I wore mine over my low updo so it wasn’t placed too high on my head.

If you have a very sheer veil, you should be able to see your hair just fine. Mine was a cheapy from Davids Bridal.

You couldn’t see the details of my hair with my veil on, but I took it off for the reception
