- Ceremony venue (same as Reception Venue);
Calgary Wedding Pavillion. It’s beautiful, it’s one stop shopping for the most part, and you don’t have to worry about drinking and driving with the hotels across the way and the option to shuttle your guests at the end of the night. We’re very happy with all the options they’ve given us so far.
None yet, I’m very worried by the lack of reviews of Calgary wedding officiants.
Our catering will be provided by Wedding Pavillion. We have yet to have our tasting, but when we do I’ll fill you Western Bees in!
Our planner is also provided by Wedding Pavillion. It is seriously such a great value to go with Wedding Pavillion- otherwise we probably would’ve opted for no planner.
Can you guess who is providing this service? Wedding Pavillion! This is one area where we may upgrade however, because their photography packages are a bit limited as is.
We haven’t decided on this yet. If we do end up having a videographer, we’re considering asking at ACAD for student referrals.
We’re still hashing out whether or not we want to just pimp out an Ipod for the wedding or employ the Wedding Pavillion’s external vendor for this. There aren’t too many dancers in our families, so we aren’t sure if it’s worth it yet.
None yet.
Bliss Cupcakes is our front-runner. They have the same decadence of their competitor Crave Cupcakes, but they are more enjoyable (read: edible) and cost-efficient where they are fairly new. Yay Strawberry puree buttercream!
This is one vendor I’m using that I would NOT recommend to anyone. I’m buying my dress from Calgary Bridal Centre, but solely because they are the only nearby salon that retails Maggie Sottero. They are awful women down there though, very nasty and upsetting in general. I’m not even willing to buy my veil here. For those looking for European designer gowns (random interjection, I know) Deza’s bridal is lovely. But beware, their dresses run small.
I’m thinking Payless right now- I want plain flat shoes so I don’t feel like paying “bridal shoe” prices for that. However, for those in the market for bridal heels/ more extravagant shoes, Ethos on 17th Avenue has a great selection.
- Bridesmaid or Best Man Dress
Again Calgary Bridal Centre. However, for my BM’s they weren’t half as rude or pushy, so it isn’t too bad for that market.
I have no idea. If ANY Calgary Bees have recommendations let me know.
