I would request a full refund and find a different vendor.  I would certainly not trust someone who has gone out of business, ignored contact and only operates via Facebook.

Under the circumstances, I would request a refund from her. The first time you contacted her she did not respond. It took you telling her that you were going to contact the police to get her to respond. If she doesn’t want to give you your deposit back, you may have to take her to small claims court.

I would def. get my money back. Why wasn’t she professional enough to let you know she shut down her business. I bet she never would have told you.

As long as you have a contract, you’ll be fine. I would send her another email letting her know she has so much time, ex. 30 days, to get you your money back or you’re taking her to court.

@Miss CuppyCake: Hmm, I’m not sure but I would think if the business dissolves, so does the contract.

@Miss CuppyCake: She has gone out of business. I would think that would be in violation of the contract. You don’t want to wait until your wedding day and find out she doesn’t have the supplies to fullfill her side of the contract. You should be able to go to you local courthouse and talk to someone about your options.

Ask for a refund and be prepared to take her to small claims court
