It’s not like there are a ton of vendors in our local area, so I wanted to see if we could collect information here on who you used. There may be a few gems that other Tahoe girls didn’t know about! I obviously can’t review mine since we haven’t had the event yet, but I can share who we’re using.

First off…big hello to other Reno/Tahoe brides etc! ๐ Here’s what I have so far(wedding in 45 days, love how my wedding website reminds of that everytime I log on!)
Ceremony/Reception Venue, Caterer, Cake: Resort at Squaw Creek
Flowers: Julie Matises, A Tahoe Rose
Photos: Christie Mumm, JLM Creative Photography
Dress: Alfred Angelo
Tuxes: Men’s Warehouse (too many groomsmen all over the country…had to go with a nationwide chain)
Hair and Make-up: AHHHH!! Still need to handle this
Music: same as haii/make-up (though, we have just contacted many people and they are available since we are having a Sunday wedding)
Officiant: Rabbi Jonathan from Temple Bat Yam (SLT temple)
So…freaking out re hair and make-up and music…but I have been given good references for Urban Angels and a few DJ’s.
Also, I have met with my florist twice and am VERY confident in her ability to make my weddign gorgeous. Engagement shots were included with our photo package and they came out GREAT…Christie is so fun to work with and has a great sense of her art. Highly recommended!
Hope everyone is hanging in there (and for Mrs. Spring…hope you are enjoying newlywed status!)

Tizzle, welcome!
It’s going to be HOT on our wedding weekend, I have a feeling ๐
Do check out Laura at La Bella Vita. You can check out my hair and make up trial on my blog site (click on my name and you can get there). Also, Jen at Kiss and Make up is a genius with make-up. Since you are at Squaw Creek you’ll be right near by! I’m having to travel to get to them on wedding day.
I’ll definitely be thinking of you on the 19th!

Yay, another Tahoe bride! I’m glad to see such a diversity in vendors. I think all of us are using totally different people!
P.S. Squaw is so great, Tizzle. Your views are going to be incredible!

Thanks ladies! I am super excited…I LOVE Squaw…we even have passes next year since they dropped the price, it will be kind of special riding there all winter knowing we got married there.
Doctor girl! I didnt even noticed we had the same wedding weekend!! It should be a warm one, but, I am sure Mrs. Spring can attest, its been oddly cool and wet here lately! That’s good though…get the rain outta here by July.
I’ll check out doctorgirls site re the hair and make-up and have already checked out Mrs. Spring’s lady. I actually work really close to her salon, so it may not be a bad idea to stop on by (and I have been meaning to take advantage of the spa pedi coupon I always see for that salon!)

Tizzle, are you on Kingsbury? I’m so excited that there’s another Tahoe bride this close!!!! This is so exciting! How long have you been in SLT? Or are you just off the hill or in Zephyr Cove or something?
Also, I would recommend Marianna like nobody’s business for hair and makeup. She is awesome! If you want a thorough review, just PM me. I’d be happy to help. ๐
And yay for docotorgirl and Tizzle getting married in the same weekend! You guys are getting so close!

I WISH I still lived in SLT. My finace (what’s the appropriate shorthand here?) is an attorney in Reno and bought a house here…I moved here after the engagement. I still work in Tahoe…a fun 1 hour commute each way…but, it keeps me close to my friends, the Lake, etc, so I am not complaining (sorta). ๐
Used to live at the top of Kingsbury…miss all that snow! I saw on another post that you guys were trying to buy a house….don’t get discouraged! Ours was a short sale and took forever! My other friend just bought one over near Off the Hook and it took them awhile too. All I know is that it wil work out when the house you are tying to buy was meant to be!!!!

Hey Girls! Here’s my list!! So fun to see all the girls getting married in Tahoe!
Venue: Paradise Park, Meyers, CA (150 guests max) – Steve, the park manager is really easy to get along with.
Rentals: Tableclothes from EventMasters – fantastic, easy. Tables, chairs and umbrellas from the Park – Steve sets them out the night before but you have to set up the park.
Photographer: Michelle Lee (start up – haven’t received my photos yet, so I don’t have a final recomendation for her)
Flowers: Chickie Baby Blooms – fresh cut flowers from Fallon, she brought up flowers on Friday and my Bridesmaid or Best Man and I put together our own bouquets. Centerpieces were put together from home grown pumpkins and potted flowers.
Caterer: Russell’s Merchantile – Gardnerville – AMAZING to work with and so afordable! He doesn’t do liquor so we visited Costco!
Hair: Family friend
Make-up: Did my own!
Music: Stefan from Sierra Sound – Great music, professional and a blast to work with!
Officiant: family friend
Cake/Cupcakes: Cupcakes from Russell’s Merchantile (included in the price of dinner!)
