I have been having problems with an Etsy vendor and wanted a second opinion to see if I am just being a little worrisome or if I have valid reason to be concerned… so who better to ask than the hive?
I placed a custom order for a large quanity of linens for our reception from a vendor on Etsy. We communicated several times prior to the order being placed and she was always very responsive and seemed eager to work on our order. I placed the order a little over a month ago (in late July). The vendor said it would take approximately 7-8 weeks to complete the entire order but offered to send me a few pieces of our order that she had pre-made, for planning purposes. Those pieces were said to have been shipped the weekend after the order was placed. Two and half weeks later when I hadn’t received anything I messaged her to see if she had shipped the items. She said she did and concurred that the items should have arrived by then.
I then asked for tracking information on the order to see if I could find the lost items. After several back and forths she said she would look for it and pass it along the information (still haven’t seen it). She also offered to resend the order but mostly has sent very short messages deflecting or making offers that I have not seen any follow up on. It has now been over four weeks since these planning pieces were said to have shipped…. should I be concerned with this vendors lack of response or am I just over-stressing and should let this play out for a little while longer?
(PS- time is not a concern, but I have already paid for these items)
