@perfectingfaith:  Gosh no, if you had wanted her services you clearly would have put the deposit down a long time ago!  She is probably just hoping to snag some extra work, as many of us are in the tougher economic times.  Why don’t you ring your photographer and say that you’re so excited about the wedding and looking forward to having him/her photograph you as the photos of other weddings looked sooooo good, and just checking whether there were any last minute details that needed to be sorted out before the big day?  A bit of flattery always goes a long way!  Best wishes for your wedding, I’m sure it will be just wonderful (and please post some pics for us bees-in-waiting!!).

Woulda coulda shoulda.

Not a big deal at this point. She may have not received your last email, or had forgotten about it, but if she wanted to continue trying to earn your business or figure out whether you actually wanted to proceed she would have contacted you sooner.

In all likelihood, your wedding was one of those pending items on her to-do list, and without a clear ‘no’ she wanted to fulfill her end of the transaction as the deadline approached in case you hadn’t picked another florist.

@perfectingfaith:  From how disorganised you have made her sound it is probably more likely that she thought your wedding was in 2014 and was chasing you down.

Don’t sweet it, your photographer will be fine. It is not in their interest to give bad service for your wedding since you can review the crap out of them.

WTF? No, this isn’t your fault. I, too, would have assumed like you did–she didn’t respond to your last email, which would have said to me that she moved on. I would have been SO confused.

Something similar happened to me. A few weeks before my wedding, some photographer contacted me on here, telling me that they’d love to shoot my wedding, they’d do it for free and I’d just have to fly them here and get them a hotel room. I was like, “??? I’ve had a photographer booked for over a YEAR…” If they’d taken two seconds to look at my posts, they would have already seen that AND seen that my wedding date was in a few weeks at that point. But hey, whatever, I’m sure they book a few weddings like that…I guess.

@perfectingfaith:  No.  You emailed her.  End of story.  She doesn’t sound like she is much of a professional.  First with all of the money issues and changes, and then her not reading her email.  Clearly she was not interested in listening to you, or being in communication with you.

Don’t let this bother you.  Move on.  Unless of course you signed a contract with her, then you may have a problem.
