(Closed) Vendor Response Time?

I tried e-mailing multiple Etsy vendors, for paper good, and I only heard back from half of them. Ever! And I couldn’t figure out a way to report them to Etsy – I think they just shut down and didn’t de-activate their accounts. My daughter’s officiant regularly takes one week to get back to her. The same with the florist, although I never heard back from the last e-mail I sent her, a few weeks ago. It seems common.

Oh wow, really? I need to change my expectations, then.

Like you, MoonlitMagnolia:  I usually receive a response within 24 hours, 48 at the latest. I have not booked all my vendors yet, but I was using response time as one of the criteria for booking. I figured, if you want all this money you’re charging me, you should be able to answer my questions/concerns in a timely manner. Maybe I should be a little more lenient.

Most would respond back within a day or two, three max. I actually had a few that didn’t respond at all, and I’m wondering if it’s because they were already booked for my date? My photographer took three days to initially respond to me and he apologized for taking so long because he was out of town.

MoonlitMagnolia:  I’ve been emailing venue vendors for information, and they’ve been getting back to me in less than 24 hours. The one that took the longest, also had the worst customer service so I decided immediatley to not go with them.
