- Wedding: August 2012
Hi Bees! I got married a few weeks ago and just returned from the honeymoon. My wedding day was truely a perfect day and it wouldn’t have been without these vendors. Here I’ve got a list of all the vendors I used and how they worked out. My wedding was not lavish but it was very nice and on a budget. I believe all in all we spent about $15,000 including honeymoon and all, so for all you budget bees in Atlanta this will help you with your planning.
Venue: $900 Roswell River Landing
I had my reception at this beautiful place right on the river. This place is great they give you the keys the day before and you can be there at 8am to decorate and you have the place until 2am. It has no catering restrictions so you can bring in anything, same goes for alchohol. It is a very DIY venue and amazing value. It’s also so naturally beautiful that you will need minimal decor.
DJ: DJ Bora Bora (Santiago Flores) $900
Word can’t even begin to describe what an amazing DJ he was. His assistant was young and fun and kept the party going ang going. DJ bora bora did a great job timing everything and also translating everything in english and spanish and his music selection was top. He was the easiest vendor to deal with and just a very wonderful and professional DJ.
Videographer: 4 your day video (Diego) $700
The video was ready literally days after the wedding and I was so suprised with the great quality. It was HD and the way it was edited was just like a movie. We actually didn’t decide on the video until the day of and Diego was very professional and accomodating. He was there on time and did such a wonderful job. They even take pictures and add one on the cover of the case, one on the disc and another on the back. It’s such a nice touch and they also give you 2 copies.
Linens, Dinnerware, Servers, Bartenders, Limo, set-up, clean-up: Mableton banquet hall $2,000 (Janette)
Janette is the owner of a bridal salon and banquet hall in mableton and she also provides her services for weddings in other places. She did a spectacular job with decorating the venue, It really was so much more than I expected. She even put in some of her own decorations to make everything look perfect, free of charge! She really does but all her effort into her work and it shows. A few hours before the ceremony the cake broke into pieces, I was horrified and we had no idea what to do, one of Janette’s waiters goes out buys icing and fixes the cake completely! Turns out he worked in a bakery and the cake turned out better than before! It was worth every penny to have someone take care of almost everything for you and I would hire her again if i could go back. I would’ve also checked out her venue, honestly it doesn’t look like all that from the outside but it is newly remodled on the inside and it looks very good. Her linens were also the best, for the price I wasn’t expecting much but they were so thick and heavy. They felt so expense, and they are good quality. The bartender and servers were so great and did their job so well and they were barely even seen, I dont know how they do it!
Photography: Harlows Photography (find them on fb) (Stephanie Turner) $700
For $700 we got an engagement session with tons of pics and the copy right, the whole ceremony and reception with 2 photographers at ceremony and the copy right. Stephanie’s style whatever you want it to be, I told her ideas of what I wanted and she delievered. Shes is an exceptional photographer and a very sweet person to deal with. I loved that she gave me a lot of direction, she knows what looks good.
There you have it! I really hope this helps! If you have any questions or want some info on the vendors I would be more than happy to help. I really wished that I could have had info on vendors that I could afford when I was planning, It was hard to find these people but they are truly exceptional and I’m glad I can help ya’ll now!
