Sorry to vent, but I’m a little annoyed with some of our vendors. Anyone else feel like the client-vendor relationship feels a little more like a hostage situation? I mean, in the beginning, everyone is so nice and quick to respond… Buuut as soon as you sign that contract, you’re toast. All of a sudden, YOU’RE the one that has to suck up to them. After all, they have your deposit… they’ve blocked off your date… your wedding fate rests in their hands.
I’ve never been a customer anywhere, where *I’m* the one that has to walk on eggshells. Our photog basically *forgot* that we had scheduled our engagement pictures this weekend and we’re having to fly back to Kansas JUST to shoot them. (We didn’t want to, but it came with our photo package and they really urged us to, so that we could all spend time getting to know each other better, which is fine.) So, now, they act like they’re doing us a favor by squeezing us in Saturday morning on the heels of another engagement shoot they’re doing at a farmers market. Not only do we NOT get to shoot in the place that we had originally all talked about, that’s sentimental to us, but we’re being made to feel bad that we’re inconveniencing them.
It is so weird and BACKWARDS. Am I alone on this one?
