I hope they’re just really busy as it is getting close to prime wedding season, but I would be worried too. I don’t blame you for wanting a response since I would want one too. If they deal with brides, they must know that people need a prompt response.

I usually give people a week to respond to an email and a day to respond to a phone call.  You should find out from your vendors what method of communication they prefer, and set some expectations on how quickly they will normally get back to you.  Some of my vendors prefer email while others would rather get a call on their personal cell phone.

Just one comment.  The “one week to reply” rule gets thrown out the window when your wedding is one week away.  😀  😀

I feel ya! I hope all goes well for you! I know for me all i can do is email and call, I am planning my wedding in a different state then the wedding is in! So for me when I was calling around and LOOKING for differnt things, if they did not get back to me they did not get my bussiness! Its frustrating!

My catering manager at Hyatt is VERY IRRESPONSIVE as well, annoys the heck out of me.

she was SO responsive when i was inquriring, trying to sell me the venue, but after i signed the contract, poof– she dissapears.  it takes OVER 1 week to respond to what i consider “simple” email

it’s a sign.  if i had to do it all over again, i rather pick a less nice venue but a more responsive person

I’m in the same boat! Once the deposits are paid the vendors are MIA. I am going on my THIRD week waiting to hear from the site about simple questions regarding shapes of tables and when we can have the rehearsal. Tomorrow I am getting Fiance on the case. I feel crazy-but today I actually contemplated calling pretending to be an “interested client” to see if that got me faster service.
