We tipped the musician, the photographer, the limo driver, and the stylist. Stylist was 20%, musician was $20 for an hour, limo driver was $40 ($20 for a trip of 10 folks, and $20 to shuttle us place to place on a photoshoot), photographer was $100 because we had 2, so the primary gets one tip and then they are supposed to give some to the second/backup.

Those were what was suggested to us when we asked. It worked out to about $20 for each hour we spent with them, per vendor.  I was comfortable with it. At the end of the day, you have to look at what you are spending, what their value is to you, etc. I know another bride who tipped her limo driver $10 because he just drove her one way and dropped her off. Ours spent the day with us basically!  Ditto for the photographer!

The caterer built the tip into the price (for the wait staff and bartenders) and the rate was 15%. We gave a little extra to a guy who really helped us find things and set up.

@MrsDulce:  We tipped at least 18-20% to all vendors. We actually threw out more to the DJ, photographers, cinematographers and lead hair & makeup artist because we developed such a good relationship with them over the time leading up to the wedding. On the day of, they couldn’t have been any better so it was important to us to really thank them for all of their hard work. Gratuities at weddings are a strange thing though…you spend all that money and then find out gratuties are also something you need to do.
