I have been out since december…1 interview! Haven’t heard back yet. So over it! I have filled out so many applications…just got my pennsylvania license, hopefully I will have more luck! Good luck in your search! It is hard out there, unless you ‘know’ someone!

College at the moment is a joke and your diploma is better off being made into a folding fan or fire starter so its atleast useful.

I understand the frustration! Keep going on! Work every connection you have!

I’m sorry you are having such trouble.  Everyone says how nursing is in such demand but I hear the same thing from everyone, that they can’t get hired.

I finished grad school months ago and the only result I’ve seen so far is a continuously falling bank account followed by really embarrassed plea phonecalls to ask my parents for yet again more financial support. Got an interview the other day, followed by a ‘no thanks’. Other than that most responses to my applications have been a deafening silence. I totally share your pain and it’s really sucking the joy out of wedding planning since we can’t pay for our own rent let alone the wedding license… Would this be a good time to just pull the plug out, forget about the venue we’ve booked and the dress I have on hold and just elope? I’m just hoping that by June 2013 life will be better….

sorry about the depressing post – just got off a tearful phonecall with my Fiance telling him about how I just can’t feel a spark of optimism anymore. Probably wasn’t the best time to reply to your post!

@Willow1991: Yeah, it really starts to suck when everyone around you gets hired and you’re left wondering what is wrong with you. Being the only one left as well, I’m really not enjoying going to ‘woohoo, I got a job so let’s celebrate’ drinks at the pub although I feel badly for feeling so spiteful towards my friends. I even feel spiteful towards my Fiance because he got a 1-year job that pays a pittance. Wow, I’m turning into a really awful person!

@Willow1991: I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!! ๐Ÿ™

I graduated in june, received my nursing license July 25th, and I have had TWO interviews after filling out almost 50 apps CryCry

It sucks, working your ass off in school and sacrificing all of your time and energy into getting to become a nurse, and then nobody will even give you the time of day.

I feel conned- nursing is in such high demand- you see it over and over again on headlines, but I don’t see any proof of this!

I am so ashamed, if I don’t find a job soon I may have to go back to serving to pay off my wedding dress ( yes my wedding is in less than 2 months and I owe $400 on my gown and veil. )

@Willow1991: Ugh! Most of my friends got hired too! It blows! I should have gotten my license in PA instead of NJ first, I think I would have had more luck. I try to look at positives…I do have a job, even though it is crappy, and I have a great fiance!! ๐Ÿ™‚ Also, I downloaded an app called helper of the bride! and weddingbee happens to be on there ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚
