mine wasnt a fairy tale as I would have liked. were married now so thats all that matters but I was overall kind of disappointed.
First, I had to wake up at 8 am in the morning to load up chiars for my ceremony and pick up a few other rental things, go back to the house rush to shower and do makeup and hair, then leave by 2 to help setup for the wedding. I was a wreck. trying to boss everyone around frantically because noone knew where i wanted everything to go, while im running round puttin candy in jars, cutting flowers and stickng them in vases, puttin dozens of chair sashes around chairs….ya know setting up! It just really sucked, I had to re curl my hair because i was running around so much, I just wish my mom or someone would have helped me out more and taken charge and just let me relax before it all.
well then me and my Fiance were supposed to romantically meet up before the wedding with our photographer to get those “first moment” shots with eachother…didnt happen.
my father and i walked down the aisle way to fast for my liking.and then i forgot to hug my dad
my reception was way to fast..we were suppsoed to do pictures before the wedding but because we were running bnehind on setting up we had to do it after the ceremony which cut into our reception time.it literatly felt like it flew by in 30 minutes. I didnt even eat at my own wedding or have a piece of cake.
I didnt get to talk to about half my guests because the time limit on the place.
oh and 20 people who RSVPd did not show up which really was upsetting because that means 20 more people could have been there who would have liked to and now i have friends and family members who are probably deep down ticked at us for not inviting them….we were on a TIGHT budget and were told we could only have 60 people TOTAL in the reception place. …now looking back i wish i would have invitied 100 people …the place we had rented it turned out not even being as picky and attentive as we thought so no one would have even known if we had 80 people in there!

Awww, I’m sorry…
Just remember you’re married and that’s the wonderful fairy tale ending to your not so fairy tale day. 😉 You two will have to throw a kick-ass anniversary party someday to make up for it. 🙂

all in all though, it was AMAZING. I love my family, my husband and i’m happy

Thats why I hired someone to do all that stuff for me…..It really is worth every penny to those brides out there considering it.
My wedding day was a bit of a disappointment too. My daugher ruined my cake toppers the morning of. – doesnt matter – my cake and cupckes didnt need adornment they were fabulous!
Worse – I hardly got to have fun with my new husband becuase his VERY VERY DRUNK brother dissapeared after accidentally dropping the ring bearer on his head (we found out later he broke his clavicle)His brother was so upset and embaressed he called a friend to get him…friend came and brother was nowhere to be found.
My husband and a good portion of the family spent most of the evening combing the property and surrounding area thinking he may be passed out in a bush or something
My officiant forgot the part of the ceremony that i wished to acknowledge my mother who is passed and my grandmother whom i was also very very close to- doesnt matter – i felt them with me.
I only had on uncle and one aunt of a large extended family who bothered to come, the rest didnt care to show….i had just my dad, step-mom (who has always been my mom too!) and my brothers. That was the only family….i have to admit – that hurt bad.
I would have been ok with everything but the not spending my reception with my husband…that sucked. We did get our dance though. 🙂 Hubby spent so little time with me he didnt remember me wearing the large feather and pearl hair accesory in my hair….too funny!
A also had an amazing honeymoon (MAUI!) so it made up for it sorta…..but i did spend some time on the plane crying about it.
By my pro pics though……youda thought me wedding was perfect 🙂

Somewhat. Don’t get me wrong, I was beautiful, but a few of the logistical things were confusing and awkward, especially the beginning of the reception and the “flow” of toasts, first dance, etc. It was all very rushed.
