OMG! I cannot stand when people spell shit wrong!! All of the time!! IT drives me up the wall. I am ok with punctuation not being in the right spot or forgetting to capitalize but use your damn spell check!!!! Read over what you write!!!
The latest things that have really got on my nerves:
People who post puppies for sale on Kijiji and say that they are pure BREAD!!!! Really!!! I have to do all that I can from sending them a message saying that they are not a loaf that sits on your counter they are pure BRED!!! not BREAD!!
What about when my little sister spells wrong – wrounge…………… need I say more? Oh and when she uses threw instead of through. And I tell her straight out it is through and then she does it again!! She is constantly posting statuses that make no sense and have every third word spelt (as she would say) wrounge!
Does this piss you off too? Or am I the only crazy person with the urges to correct every random person’s spelling/grammar mistakes?
I know that I am not perfect and I spell things wrong too, but I try to keep them to a minimum. If I am unsure of a word or if it looks wrong I look it up.

I hear you! I’m constantly hitting edit… but I’m sure there’s things I miss.
Pure bread dogs would have me worried, though. Wowsa.

Perhaps you should realize that some people just type and don’t re-read. It’s not that serious. Obviously you do it too 🙂

But I’m so delicious!
I admit that my eye may twitch when I see someone spell something wrong or use the wrong tense, but I would never actually say anything to correct them. I find it immensely rude. My brother used to do that to my SIL on FB all the time and I hammered him for it.

@mwitter80: Lol! I’m guilty of speed typing and spelling mistakes too, mostly because I want to post my response right away.

@MightySapphire: LMAO, that is great!!
I was actually trying to find one of the grammar threads I was in a few weeks ago, but couldn’t. Suffice it to say, a lot of us have problems with this 🙂

It annoys me too. Sometimes it takes me 15 minutes to post while I reread everything to make sure that it makes sense and that everything is spelled correctly. I had a teacher that would make us write “to, too, and two” 100 times if we mixed them up.

@MightySapphire: I love pure bread pups! I could slice it up all day!
Grammar is like any other thing in life- some people care and other people could care less. Personally I care more about what a person is saying or trying to say, not how they say.
I’m sure todays type heavy communication ( texting, e-mailing, tweeting, forums etc) makes people type faster than they think and also its acceptable to mess up or shorten words to make it more text/web lingo friendly.
I live with a house full of foreigners, English FAILS are a daily occurrence both written and especially verbal 🙂 I love it, it makes life interesting.

@mwitter80: I said I do it too. I do know how to spell punctuation too. Sorry.

@Eva Peron: I agree, i type way faster than I need to sometimes, and also have a problem with rereading before posting, which is why I like the edit feature. 🙂

@krystilainne: I just found it hilarious that in a vent about spelling and grammar you didn’t use spell check as you suggested, because it’s not that big of deal. I’m glad to see you edited though 🙂

@krystilainne: I think maybe her point was to give people the benefit of the doubt and not let it get to you. 🙂

@MightySapphire: I am laughing out loud at work and getting confused looks. HILARIOUS!

Technically, what bothers you is spelling, not grammar. Bad grammar is when people don’t speak well English. 😉
