pantsapocalypse :  Interesting. My cats all come nuzzling around and being lovey-dovey. Obviously they want food lol. And I have one rescue cat who is seriously the best cat in the world except for the fact that he attacks other cats. I hope you move soon so you can get a therapy dog! It’s a wonderful prescription. Take care, stay strong!

pantsapocalypse :  I know how you feel. I to suffer from PTSD. So I get it. It’s very hard to always look around wondering. You never ever feel safe. No matter what. So you isolate yourself. And that’s when the depression kicks in. It’s one big circle. It’s not easy to get out of. Just know you are not alone. This will pass. Try and keep yourself busy with packing as much as you can. And just remeber 3 weeks isn’t along time. If you need to talk (edited*) . Ill be happy to just listen. Sometime it helps just to have another person to talk to.

pantsapocalypse :  it’s hard to find true friends. Sounds like those ppl weren’t worth keeping around. It’s hard to find, but good people are out there. Have you thought about picking up a home hobby? Scrapbooking is a major passion of mine. It’s theraputic and whenever I am feeling down I look through one of my books like a lifelong journal. You sound you were film making, maybe put together happy clips with your Fiance (I think you said fiance) and make some fun films out of them..

pantsapocalypse :  dont feel guilty for unloading/venting. Most us bees have it in us where we want to help. We would much rather you be open and communicate with the world than shut down.

Im so sorry he only got 2 yrs. It’s so messed up.

Can I ask what area you live in?

pantsapocalypse :  Don’t you have kids and a fiance? So it’s not true that you don’t have close emotional ties. Even if your kids are spending the holidays with their other parent, you still have your fiance. Having just one person is a lot, even though it might not feel like it. Do things (even indoor things) with the people you love. Have a nice dinner, watch a fun movie, maybe do some holiday-themed crafts. I know it’s hard, but eventually you’ll make new, better memories.

And also remember you’re not alone. There are many more people than you realize who are lonely during the holidays.

I thought of you the other day when I met a tech person in my hospital who is helping us with research studies related to large databases. I was talking to her, and she told me that her bachelor’s was in design. Anyway, just wanted to let you know!

pantsapocalypse :  i live on the west coast (maybe we are closer than we realize) and one day my SO and I plan to move to florida as well. He has a bit of seasonal depression and the weather would help him over there.

I love dark rooms ❤ and I know what you mean, I am very crafty and organized, and after a certain point many people kinda “expect” me to throw parties and put together events. It takes the fun out and becomes work.
