So I was in a rush this morning to catch the train into university and I was having trouble putting my necklace on with the pendant that the SO gave to me on our first anniversary (he worked with the restaurant owner to surprise me with it). Anyway I got to the station in time and when I took off my scarf and went to sit down, I realized that the chain was down my top and the pendant was missing. Searched up and down the carriage, around my seat, down my top… to no avail. Not a good start to the day grr…
PS. Silenting blubbering on the train.. not one of my finest moments.

I lost one of the earrings my fiance gave me on the train once. They were the first piece of jewelery he ever gave me. =(

@peachacid: That sucks!! Why is it always the pieces with the sentimental value?

I lost my one-year anniversary necklace too! I KNOW for a fact that it’s somewhere in my mom’s house but 3 and a half years later it still hasn’t turned up…

OMG I lost this diamond pendant my fiance gave me too and I am STILL sick to my stomach about it……poor guy he could barely afford it because he quit his job to go back to school and I lost it. I hope whoever finds our beloved necklaces enjoys them as much as we did

Ugh, that sucks 🙁 🙁 I’m very sentimental about those kinds of things so I totally get why you’re so upset 🙁 If it makes you feel any better, Fiance gave me a pair of diamond earrings, and one fell down the drain, and I miraculously retrieved it, then I lost one in our apartment and I found it, and then I lost one AGAIN and I wasn’t sure if it was lost in our apartment, but a few hours later I found it again. So don’t give up hope – you may still find it yet!!

Thank you to everyone for your support and empathy – whilst it really does suck that we have lost these incredibly sentimental jewellery, in a way for me, it’s kind of comforting to know that there are other people out there who can relate.
I’m still kicking myself for not going with my gut and just putting the necklace in my pocket and waiting until I got on the train to patiently put it on! Grrr… it wasn’t anything grand but it was his gift to me.
@RhubarbPie: Sadly, I really doubt it will turn up unless I dropped it inside the house But I will check around the house and the driveway when I get home

My fiance gave me some beautiful diamond earrings the Christmas before last and one fell out sometime during my bus commute within a month. It was so sad and I still haven’t replaced it because they were pretty expensive. It sucks to lose something sentimental 🙁
