- Wedding: October 2014
What’s done is done, and I know you can’t dwell on things that you can’t change, but that doesn’t mean I can’t vent to you ladies, am I right?
I hired my photographer about 3 months ago. She’s a great photographer whose photos always come out very blog worthy, if you will.
We’ve never been able to meet with her in person, but we’ve talked over the phone and corresponded via emails since our wedding is in another city.
I told her what types of photos/poses I like and we mapped out the day-of. I’ve been saving up images for a couple of years now of things I like. I like checking out wedding blogs from different countries and taking inspiration from fashion magazines.
She told me to make a Pinterest account and make albums for each subject (i.e. getting ready album, ceremony album, first look album).
I made it and sent her the private link.
I just checked her website and she updated it with photos from her most recent wedding. I was surprised because this wedding is the same ceremony location as ours.
Well, all of my photo ideas I sent her is what she used for her recent wedding. I don’t think it’s a coincidence because these photos were very specific and not a general bride-with-groom-posing type of photo, or wedding-party-jumping-in-the-air photo.
And it’s not just for the ceremony, I noticed it for the getting ready photos, too.
I feel like she used my good ideas for this bride because it was the same location.
I’m just annoyed because I feel like my wedding is going to look like a copycat since our wedding is still months away, and at the same location.
I know some people might be reading this thinking it’s silly, but it really stinks because I put a lot of effort into trying to come up with cool concepts and ideas for a fresh take on my wedding.
