So, this semester I chose to take 4 online classes since I live about an hour away from my school, so my fiance can get to work in 20minutes instead of 1 1/2hrs. Ive been doing great in all of my classes, at least I thought. This morning I woke up to do my normal Monday routine of checking on all my classes to see what is going on this week.. to find out I missed a test in one of my classes yesterday. It wasnt posted until Saturday that we had a test, but it was on the syllabus I made SURE to print out so I wouldnt let things like this happen. I frantically opened it up and completed it, which the system accepted but I am practically in tears right now knowing my professor will probably not accept the grade, nor do I feel like I neccessarily deserve the consideration to have the grade accepted. I emailed her letting her know what happened, eventhough it accepted my grade I felt she should know I didnt submit it on time. I have a 4.0, I have been KICKING MY BUTT to do so well, I wasnt able to afford college when I was 18-22 and worked really hard to put myself through and now if she doesnt accept this grade I automatically cant get anything better than a B. I could seriously cry right now. I am so dissapointed in myself. 🙁

Could you ask her for an extra credit assignment after she grades it?

@juliette.eliza: Its all multiple choice online so ive already received the grade and its posted to the grade book, I wouldnt be able to get another question wrong on the rest of our assignments and would need at least 30pts of extra credit to get an A. The worst part is this class was supposed to be an easy A, its just a general education science course. :(. If I dont hear back by tomorrow I am thinking of visiting her on campus, since I have to drive there for my calc class anyways.

You are doing good! What professors look for in a student isn’t perfection, but accountability…looks like you’ve got that covered, so just calm down and know that you are going to be fine!

I know it doesn’t help, but even with a B, your GPA will still be good especially if you always get a 4.0 GPA. Just take a deep breath and see what she says. Also, GET A PLANNER! Make sure you right down all due dates for all classes. I can’t ever remember when what is due in my classes when if it is on 4 different pages. Putting it all in one nifty calendar will let you look at it right there laid out in front of you. If you already have a planer for work, appotintments, etc. just add it to it. Right or highlight your school stuff in a specific color oncluding tests and quizzes. Organization is key when in college. Good luck and I hope this helps. Keep your head up and don’t get discouraged
