Haha ohhhh how I can sympathize with this. My other favorite gem is when you say something you’ve decided to do and get in response “Well, I mean it’s not my wedding…”–well thank you for the confirmation there! Your subtle hint that you’d do it differently is much appreciated! I’m so happy you seem to realize this isn’t your wedding even though you’re telling me how to run it!

“Actually, (FI) and I are making these decisions together because it is our day.”

That usually shuts them up.

to prevent getting any opinions or suggestions from anyone. I say I got it covered, already working on it. Don’t worry about it, it’s coming along, thank you for offering help. I don’t need a million opinions coming at me overwhelming me. If I need help…I ASK for it. But mostly I’ve been handling on my own, my way 🙂 If I need an opinion or help. I ask. Simple!

@jackndiane: lol yeah i just recently got into a disagreement with Future Sister-In-Law about something CRAZY she wanted me to do and then she said “well, it’s not my wedding…” and I finally broke and said “I find it ironic you mention that considering how very much you seem to want to make this day about you” (she was insisting that if her bf proposes anytime before our wedding that he be added as a groomsman…even though Fiance and I don’t know him–FI met him one time–and the Bridal Party is already set and dressed)
