is it just more or does it seems that people are getting a little more snark-happy these days? it may just be that i am just noticing it more and more lately and its been going on for a while but GEEZ! its happening with people i live with, random people at the mall, and i come home to relax on the bee and its here too! maybe its because we are getting close to the holiday times which are (for most of the people i encounter) some of the most stressful times of the year or something. i honestly dont know but its starting to get on my nerves…
now i need a pepsi and a hersheys bar.
* thank you for reading my very vague and ranty post i felt it was something that just needed to be said *

Understandable. People are becoming more mean and rude. SO bees, lets be the ones, when we go do errands etc to be nice, say thank you, or just smile. Even a smile works! I hardly see people smile either!!
Lets bee the ones that arent rude in this world. Like my grandmother told me, treat others how u would want to be treated. Lets be a light in this world.
Corny but its true.lol And when u do come into contact with someone like that, be nice and then let it go,if that doesnt work u can come on here and tell your story.:)

i had to keep telling myself the whole “if you cant say anytihng nice dont say anything at all” phrase today.
i think it may beed to be modified to “if you cant type anything nice (or any semblance of understandable) then just dont type it at all” that sounds like a good philosophy to me at least

Thread bump! I definitely noticed that… I don’t understand it at all. Do people get some sort of sick pleasure from being mean to others? I dunno. I’m certainly not the nicest person, but it’s not because I am trying to be mean, I guess I just think like an engineer and fail at social skills. But I make an effort to be nice to people and compliment them, cause I know that when people I don’t know say they like my shirt, I feel really good.

First of all, I LOVE the title of this thread and it may just make it’s way to my FB status
Part of it is bad economy and I can totally understand. Sometimes very hard to be nice and upbeat when everything has hit the fan. Some people react by being sad and mopey (like me) and others unfortunately take their anger out on everyone else.
That being said, I think a BIG part of it is society in general. Somewhere along the line, the golden rule and common sense were thrown out the window and into the dump. And SO and I plan on doing our part to make sure our future kids do not have this attitude!

I’m totally blaming everything I say on pregnancy haha (kidding…. sort of…)
Around the holidays people go insane. Everyone feels like they have to buy people so much crap and they feel bad when they can’t. Plus it gets cold, bills go up, cars break down. It’s a bummer. No excuse to be rude though! We actually just walked out of a car dealership this morning because the salesman was being a douche about fact that we “only” have about $7,000 to spend on a used car. No problem buddy, see ya!

I try to be nice, but I’m pretty hormonal right now, lol.
I’m still pretty new, but I have noticed a couple of really uptight people that remind me of the Knot, so I try to stay out of their line of fire.

I always feel like people are more mean around the holidays. I hate this time of year, ugh.

@aprose: I snark plenty but not here! It would seem extremely inappropriate here.
