When people post “me and my friend/FI” went somewhere or did something. It’s my friend and I. Not sure why that’s difficult to grasp. And people.writing “gonna” and “prolly”. It drives me up a tree.
And currently my tablet that i use for work has a problem taking and maintaining a charge; the battery is obviously on the way out. So.I have to go out of my way to the main office to.have it fixed.
And last but not least, I traded my 9 year old car in because the check.engine light came on and indicated a vacuum leak which was ridiculously expensive to fix. So.I bought a new car – a brand new car. Less than two.weeks ago. And the check engine light came on yesterday. I have to drive 45 minutes out of my way to go and have them look at it. My son is telling me i shouldn’t have gotten the range rover, I’d have been better off with a jeep. I’m seriously going to scream.

doberman: The most common causes of a check engine light usually are not applicable to a brand new car unless you have a dud factory part. One easy thing that can cause it is if you don’t replace the gas cap correctly after filling up, or if someone tried to help themselves to your gas.

Jacqui90: Jumping through hoops for this one job i want. Lets see — phone interview, in person interview, 8 (!) references, credit and background check and the worst is going back tomorrow for an office software test AFTER (???) having the in person interview 2 weeks ago?! Oh and did I mention the lengthy in person application AND the listing my addresses for the past 7 years. I felt it intrusive to be giving my age as well as them knowing I’ve moved a lot (moving into craigslist roommates apartments when they have six months to go on their lease and always get happily married then lol)? Yikes!!

When our team’s coordinator doesn’t do her work, so I (associate director / team lead) have to do it because it just needs to be done and she’s on a ski vacation.
And her response when I let her know is: “no worries that’s fine.”
NO IT IS NOT FINE.
She is there to support me and the team. I’m there to enable her, which I already had.
Can’t tell if it’s laziness, lack of give-a-damn, incompetence or some combination of the three. 😡😡😡

I am a silly entry level part time job while in grad school. Previously I was in mangement for the same department at another company, it was much larger than this one with more employees for me to supervise. It irks me when that is forgotten and I’m treated like an idiot. For example, I had a turtoral on how to remove a button from a shirt, one, that is fairly simple and self-explaitory and two, I have been a professional seamstress for 15 years! Think I got it. Stupid stuff like that happens every day I am there. It is maddening

I so need to vent about this..
One of my friends posted about how she caught a mouse in her house and included a cute picture. Well, the cats found it but she then caught the mouse humanely and it wasn’t injured or anything. So, she set up a little cage for it with food and water so she can set it free once some of the snow melts. Exactly what I would do.
Anyway, she’s being lambasted!! Most everyone thinks that she is being ridiculous. People are saying stuff like “flush it down the toilet” and “find a snake to feed it to” and “set it loose in an open field so a hawk can get it”…even “put it in a bucket of water and watch it drown”…
Like, WHAT THE F is wrong with people?! I know we all don’t have to think alike or react the same in certain situations but such harsh expressions of animal cruelty are really disturbing and making me sad ☹️

theatrejulia: Is it possible your coworkers / management have to follow a training process or are just covering their asses due to issues with other part timers?
I used to be much more lax with my coordinator, but I’m now documenting directions to make it clear what’s expected. We will also have those directions for future coordinators.

1. When people believe everything they see on social media and take it as fact. If you are really so passionate about the subject then stop clicking on links to random websites, get off Facebook and actually do some research into the matter before you start sharing bullsh*t and spreading false information. You just look ignorant.
2. People who claim racism at every little thing – even when they are actually in the wrong.
3. Calling out “haters”. It seems all of a sudden if someone disagrees with you on anything, they are a hater. Don’t like the music someone is producing? Hater. Don’t want to go to their party? Hater. Don’t want to buy a product from their 20th “multi-level marketing” business? HATER.
Lately a lot of people tend to have an “If you’re not with me, you’re against me” attitude. No pal. I’m not with you but I’m not against you either. I just don’t give a flying f*ck either way. You are so irrelevant to my life that I don’t actually give a second thought to anything you’re doing in yours. We’re all busy living our own lives. You don’t ever occur to me and I’m sure I don’t ever occur to you which is perfectly fine. That doesn’t make me a hater, it makes me indifferent.

bitsybee: No, they are used to micro managing. They are used to entry level workers, I have a mangement background and have a college degree while the rest of the staff do not. They treat everyone that way, full time and part time. Example- they have to taught what a hem is while I have hemmed pants for years. They default to training at the most basic level.

Group texts and group emails ugh! I can’t stand when people respond with one word answers to the whole group Lol!! I feel so overwhelmed sometimes with so many useless messages coming at me! Then I feel guilty for feeling annoyed by it. Haha! Can’t win!

bitsybee: I know, lol. Thats why I just brush off the annoyance and move forward. It is temporary while in school. I should graduate this summer and will start looking for jobs in March. Already had a few offers much closer to my background
