Seriously Bees – I’m about to kill my three beloved dogs…

If they weren’t so cute, I would have probably already kicked ’em to the curb!
During the week, fi is kind enough to get out of bed first and let out the dogs and feed them while I roll around in bed trying to figure out why I must go to work, so on the weekends, I get up with the dogs to let him sleep in. I like to use this time to watch infomercials (I love them, no idea why), catch up on the blogs I follow, relax in general. Saturday mornings there isn’t much relaxing since I have my weight watchers meeting at 930, but Sundays I should be able to lounge and enjoy my coffee to my heart’s content. But for some reason on Sunday mornings my dogs go CRAZY! Monday through Saturday they just chill in the mornings, maybe enjoy a bone or press themselves up against the forced hot air vents…but not Sundays.
Sundays they just want to play. And all three of my lovelies are at least part bully breed which means when they play, they grumble (not growl, just make noise). Grumbling is loud when you have 1 dog, louder when you have 2, and deafening when you have 3!
I love them, I just wish they would let me enjoy my infomercials in peace for just one Sunday morning!
Just had to vent, haha

My cats have been waking me up at 4:30 this weekend to feed them. It’s so annoying, you aren’t going to die if you wait until I wake up to feed you!
Dumb pets!

@MrsSaltWaterTaffy: Two words – endless feeder. However, my cat Charles is now pushing 18 pounds and I’m afraid to bring him to the vet for his yearly because I know they’ll yell at me for letting him get so fat. But if I take away his food he gets destructive!
@MrsE.ToBe : Thanks! They love to all cuddle up on the love seat. This is another one of my favorite pictures:

They are adorable. My cat had me up at 5:11am this morning so I sympathize.

Haha, they do look like an ornery bunch!! My pets like to let me sleep in, especially my lap dog. She used to go out at 6 am, but my lazy self taught her to snuggle til about 10 am with no accidents. My husband will let the dogs out at about 7 though, so now she just comes back in for snuggles.

Here is my impression of my cat on weekend mornings, starting at about 6am: Meow meow meow meow meow meow meow MEOW MEOW MEOW MEOW MEOW MRAOWWW MRAWOWW MRAWOOOWWWW MRAWOOOWOWWOWOOW meowmeowmeowmeow MRAAAWWWWOOWOOWOWO!!!!!!!!!” This can go on for hours. My husband and I bought a heated cat bed for her, which we have started calling the Electric Lap. At some point, during the godforsaken pestering, he will admit defeat, get up, and place the demon cat into her electric lap. This usually provides relief for about 30 minutes, after which one of us (often him, since he’s way more of a morning person) just takes one for the team and gets up.

@MandaMack: I third that they are adorable. 🙂 Mine are pretty good on the weekends but during the week it’s like they KNOW I stayed up too late and don’t have to get up for another hour. :/ Jerks. 😉 haha. I love them to death though.
And I know what you mean by the grumbling. One of mine is part terrier (dunno if that matters?) but he grumbles and makes weird noises when they play. My hound just goes “ooorooo.” <– That’s my best interpretation.

My older cat Peter likes to find something (anything) paper in our bedroom and crunch, crinkle or otherwise beat the crap out of it to wake us up on our sleep in mornings. It’s insane and SO annoying. And then when you get up to throw him out of the room, he runs into the bathroom meowing (which I translate as “hahaha sucker!!!!!”). Then I have to go, pick him up, carry him back across the bedroom and toss him out the door. Generally I’ll fall over once during this because I’m still 98% asleep.
I feel your pain.

LOL, Bruno was up playing in our room at 530 this morning, it’s apparently a furry conspiracy. 🙂
