I feel like I’m on an epic long search for the perfect venue. Any tips would be great as we are just not seeming to find the perfect place. We thought we wanted cottage country went to a bunch of places, they were too small for our needs and the one that we liked, well they made an aweful first impression, so hubby to be won’t even contemplate them anymore. So we started looking locally where we live. Last week we went to a venue in Hockley Valley, Ontario. My hubby to be LOVES it and I’m meh wishy washy. They don’t have covers for the chairs, I’d have to rent, they won’t allow fireworks as they say it would disturb the other guests and I can’t figure out the pricing. The place has a completely different taste than our cozy cottage wedding theme by the water. If you haven’t been this is a richly modern contemporary decorated place with a traditional banquet hall style reception room. Hubby to be is now wanting a winter wedding as we are quickly running out of time for a fall wedding. So there goes our outdoor wedding unless we want to use the patio, which they did say we could use but..has anyone done an outdoor winter wedding?? My bridesmaids are not impressed with the thought of being outside for the ceremony in the winter. And to be honest I’m not thrilled with the specific location Hockley Valley has offered for an outdoor winter wedding. I guess I’m wondering if anyone else has done or been to a wedding at Hockley and what you bees recommend for solving the venue dilemia, cause I’m seriously tired of looking. I have been to a ton of places over the last 8 months and I’ve had enough. We are having so much trouble finding the right place the wedding date has changed and now is pretty much just a date with no significance whatsoever.
