princesslelah:  Think ouside the wedding box. If you go for a traditional wedding venue, the costs will be high. What about a restaurant? Sometimes you can rent them out for the whole night if you guarentee a certian food/drink minimum will be met.

princesslelah:  Do you have any relatives or friends who belong to any organizations, clubs, fraternities etc and can get the use of them free? The more you can save on the venue the more you will have available for food and beverages.

One of my favorite weddings ever was a budget wedding. The bride chose her whole color scheme based on the chairs she was able to borrow at no cost from the local community hall.
