We also have ugly chairs.  I bent and am going with chair covers.

We also have ugly chairs (WHY would a wedding venue buy black pastic chairs?!) and we are also going with chair covers. Sorry, not much help. I actually think that those chairs aren’t too bad and a sash would make them look a bit odd. Personally, I would just leave them as they are.

Leave it. No one notices what the chairs look like unless they’re neon pink or something like that. They won’t even see the chairs once they’re seated.

Use them “as is”. The wedding industry has somehow convinced brides that chairs cannot be used the way they are. Even at the most formal of banquets, you will never see a chair cover or sash.

Absolutely noone will notice your chairs.  And as a guest, I am more annoyed by chair covers than impressed.  Sitting and moving around chairs with chair covers is an annoying experience.  Leave it as is!

I don’t like the chairs at my venue either but I’m just going to leave them and not care.  I don’t like the way chair covers look anyways

The good news is, they don’t look like this: http://chairsmith.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html   Ours did look like that, but we bought covers and sashes online cheap. The covers were about $2 and the sashes $1 each. It was much much cheaper than renting!

edit: nevermind the link, the picture didn’t work. Think about old wooden school chairs though!
