First of all… our wedding colors are champagne gold & black!
Here is a pic FI took of the venue before they were setting up for a wedding. I just realized how hideous the carpet is. When we went to check out the place, they said they were getting new carpet in Nov (the pic was taken in Sept)… but I can’t remember what colors they said it would be. The carpet is very detailed and so are the chair covers, though you can’t tell in this pic. The venue supplies the white table cloths on all tables.. rounds, head table, cake table, DJ table etc… BUT I was thinking I either want champagne or black table clothes to tie in with our wedding colors more, but now I am thinking if we get black it might be TOO much black… since the girls are wearing black, guys will be in black suits, etc. So, now I am thinking about getting champagne table cloths…. do you think that would look ok? Or we could keep white and get table runners, but since my dress is ivory, I don’t know if it would look make my dress look dirty. I know I am probably thinking way too much into this! 🙂 I found these… http://www.cvlinens.com/satin-round-tablecloth-champagne-p-368.html. They would go all the way down the ground. Or these http://www.cvlinens.com/polyester-round-tablecloth-champagne-p-500.html They would only go half way down. The white ones the hotel provides only go half way down as well.
What do you think? I am freaking out! I also would like to get chair covers to hide the ugly but it’s just not affordable… I dont want to spend $500 on chair covers!

i definitely prefer table cloths that hit the floor, so i would get those if they don’t break the bank. if runners are a lot cheaper though, i would probably go for those.

I would prefer floor length tablecloths but I definitely wouldn’t waste any energy worrying about the carpet or the chairs.
When the room is full of people and their bums are in the seats, you won’t even see the chairs.
You could use the white cloths with a champagne runner or overlay for the guest tables.
In order not to have the white tablecloth against your ivory dress, you could do a champagne overlay on the head table only if budget is a concern.

- Wedding: August 2010 - Ocean View Villas/Jasmine Seafood Restaurant
don’t worry about white table clothes and an ivory dress. No one will notice. I had the same situation at my wedding. Floor length linens and chair covers are nice, but with people in the chairs, it’ll be less noticable. If there’s money in the budget, then go for it. If not, don’t worry about it. Have you seen photos of the site full of people? That would help you decide.

It would be so much cheaper to keep what they have for linens but I hate that they don’t go all the way to the ground….. plus I feel like it will be harder to incorporate our colors of black & champagne gold if the tables are white…..
Any one else have any opinions?

Ok – I found 108″ champagne table cloths for $11.25/each. What do you think about these? they wouldn’t reach all the way to the ground but they will go lower than half way down…
These are 108″ but would be in champagne (shown in black)
These are 120″ and the color they would be in…
