I got my second choice- my first choice was a rooftop bar that was $25,000 MINIMUM to use for a Saturday night. Yeah right!

Yep, we booked the venue that I’ve wanted to get married at for years. I wouldn’t have been happy anywhere else.

We got our first choice venue, but not our first choice day. 🙂

Yup…. Oddly enough the first time I went to look at the venue I didn’t think it was going to work….however after seeing everything else is the area I knew the first location was PERFECT! I can’t wait!!! Such a good decision!

Yep!  I settled for a not so ideal date just so I could have my venue.

Yep, it was the seventh venue we visited and the minute we walked into the lobby we knew it was perfect.

Yes and no… lol  It was the first venue that I saw and fell in love with, but initially I thought it would be out of our budget.  In the end the place that became our first choice got sold and our date went from August to October, and we found out that we could do a ceremony only at the first venue!  Soooo… long story short, yes it was our first choice!  🙂

We didn’t get our first choice venue, it was out of budget.

But we love our second choice 🙂

We got our first choice venue and we planned our date around our venue to guarentee that we would.

I didn’t look at a single out-of-budget venue.  I looked at price before looking at anything else about a place so I wouldn’t fall for somewhere we couldn’t have.

We wanted a marquee wedding. After we met the guy from the marquee company and added the cost of it to the cost of the land it was £8000 before things like dress, food etc and the amount of organisation involved scared me and stopped me from sleeping so we didn’t go ahead. Apart from a marquee I didn’t know what I wanted so I found it the hardest element out of the planning.

We actually went with my DH’s first choice venue. I always dreamed of getting married at the Newport Mansions but it was way out of our budget.

Yes!  We were flexible on our date, so we got the venue that was my favorite when I did the online search.  We only looked at this place in person and both liked it as much as I liked it online.

Yes, we got our 1st choice venue. But, just not the month (May). April was all that was available, but it worked out fine!
