- Wedding: August 2013
I need some opinions from you wonderful bees. SO and I found THE venue. We love everything about it, and it’s perfect for us. We had some difficulty coming to a compromise for our wedding. I wanted to elope, he wanted a big party, so we met in the middle. We found a venue that fits 50 people perfectly. It’s a room on the roof of a hotel. It has it’s own patio for outdoor space, a great bar with stools for guests to get drinks and because it’s on the rooftop it’s completely private from the rest of the hotel including any other weddings happening that day in the banquet rooms on the bottom floor. However, because it is so small I am having difficulty visioning where we would dance and place the DJ. I have attached some photos. Our wedding will be setup with round tables, not sure how many per table. I was thinking of moving tables once dancing began, but then where would people sit between dancing etc.? Also there is no designated dance floor, just carpet. How do you think I can set this room up for dancing?
This is the main area I was thinking for the dance floor, and maybe placing the DJ table in the corner where the cake table is etup, then moving the cake table by the bar perhaps (worried about something happening to it though) and the longer table out in the foyer off the elevator for escort cards.
And just for fun, here’s the bar which I love!
So bee’s, do you think dancing in this room is possible? I couldn’t care less, but it’s the one thing that my SO really wants.
