My outdoor venue does not allow read or fake flower petals (or rice, or confetti, or pretty much anything else that is tossed), and I’m wondering what to do with my flower girl. I kinda want to avoid the whole “pomander thing”, because honestly it seems pointless to even have a flower girl at that point. But I already asked her. And I love her. So I need to use her. 🙂
I thought of having her bring the rings up, since we don’t have a ring bearer, but she does need some flower related something, or she wouldn’t be a flower girl! 🙂

I was in my aunt’s wedding when I was little and I carried a basket with a flower arrangement in it. Didn’t drop any petals.

a mini bouquet with rings tied to the ribbon?

Our flower girl carried a small bouquet.. I’ve seen that a lot actually, without dropping petals.

Is she coordinated enough to maybe blow bubbles while walking ahead of you?

Perhaps carry a bouquet and hand out flowers to the guests.
Ring a bell.

If you are having a unity candle, maybe she can carry the candle up. Or some other part of your ceremony.
She could always hold you bouquet during the ceremony, thus making her the ‘flower’ girl.

She could carry individual flowers and hand them to ladies along the route, if she is old enough. She could also carry a sign that says “Here comes the Bride” on it.

the bubble idea would be adorable! Also love TKS’ idea of her giving flowers to people on the aisle. I think a lot of brides don’t have petals anymore, lucky for you. 🙂

Mine had the same restrictions and handed out long stemmed roses!

I love the ‘handing out flowers’ idea.
There was also a thread a while back where people said to have her carry a sign that says ‘here comes the bride’. That’s cute too.
