Hello!
I am trying to find a venue in the Los Angeles, Orange County area that has a forest-like setting similar to the movie Twilight. I don’t want the setting to be too rustic and dry/grassy though, but more green and lush. Ideally this place would also have a pond. I’m also working under a budget, so I hope the venue rental cost could be within $5,000.
It might be really hard to find a place just like the Twilight movie’s forest, but somewhere that has trees, shade, and a natural (not too “artificial”, yet not too unkempt) would be nice.
The expected wedding date would be next summer, with about 200-250 guests. Do any of you have suggestions for a possible venue?
Thanks so much!

Edit:
Nevermind. My suggestion wouldn’t accomodate the number of guests

If it can be in Northern CA, I have a really spectactular location; PM me. Otherwise, you might want to check into the regional / state parks?

We got married at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden in Claremont, CA. There is an oak grove and lots of trees that made for gorgeous pictures. As far as where the ceremony and reception took place it wasn’t under the trees but still surrounded by nature.

Check out the The Oaks at Ribbit Nusery. It’s a amphitheater in an Oak Grove.

Have you tried looking at Bonelli Regional park in Pomona? It’s by the fairplex. I know they have a location that is kinda woodsy lol.

@Serendipity12:
The place for you is Lake Arrowhead. Ever been up there? 90 min outside of OC/LA. Very foresty, ala Twilight. The Lake Arrowhead Lodge is my favorite getaway, I’ve been up there when they were setting up for weddings, it’s very nice. (no I don’t work there). Not sure what the price range is for weddings but I know that lodge can handle 200+ guests.
Lake arrowhead is secluded, it’s a private lake, so if you don’t stay at the lodge you can stay at a B&B there, never stayed at any of those but they line the perimeter of the lake and there are some nice ones based on the pics, you can probably check them out at tripadvisor or by googling it.

Or, there is Big Bear right next door, that is less elite but still just as foresty, big pond there with boating opportunities. Also Lake George is up that way.
