The venue that we were considering had offered us a free dinner if we came to look at their venue, and take a tour. We were not impressd. 🙁
1.) We went for lunch, which the lady who booked our visit said would be complementary, it wasn’t.
2.) They gave me FROZEN green beans, that were still cold. Chicken that was luke warm. Did I mention that what i ordered something that was on the wedding menu?
3.) They had really odd up charges. They had a plate on the menu for 20$ and the same meal, priced at 67$ on the wedding menue. The 67$ price did not include tax, gratuity, or the bar price, when I asked about the up charge the lady changed the subject.
4.) I asked about what time we would be allowed to set up for the wedding…They begin putting the TABLES up 6 hrs before the event. They will allow us in to decorate 3 hrs before BUT the last 2 hours of that time all the non-staff will be kicked out, so that gives us an HOUR to decorate. They would do it for us, but its a 50$ charge per person per hour and they usually have squads of 6 to set up.
5.) The rooms them selves were kinda dirty, i dont think anyone had dusted in a while…
I was so sad, We were so excited about this venue. 🙁
Back to the drawing board i guess…
