So my one request to my father for the venue was no colored carpet. I still end up with a venue with burgundy carpet and even worse burgundy window treatments. My colors are shades of light blue and green with champagne and gold (June wedding), so I am concerned it will clash. Has anyone dealt with this? My father says I won’t see it in the fotos but I highly doubt that. Any advice greatly appreciated! Too much of the wedding attire for myself and the bridal party has been purchased to change the entire color scheme.

No one will notice the carpet or curtains, dad is right! Just carry on as planned.

Most wedding photos are outside or at the ceremony venue. Even for the reception photos, they will mainly be of the people – the curtains will be very much in the background.
At my reception the curtains were open (so I hardly noticed them) and the carpet was a non-issue. Just like in outside photos, the dresses don’t need to match the grass.
It will be fine.

Ladoncella88: Burgandy is a pretty neutral color and the lights will be dimmed for most of the reception, so likely no one will notice them at all.
