IMO, it would be kind of tacky to let guests into the reception room while the chairs are being set up. I also wouldn’t appreciate being squished into a small room. What about renting cheaper chairs for the ceremony or reception? Or just using the venue chairs for the ceremony since your guests would only be in there for a short amount of time.

I agree that moving the chairs doesn’t seem practical. I would definitely NOT have the chairs being moved while guests are standing nearby, nor would I make them wait 30 minutes until they are moved. That will create an awkward pause in the flow of your event, and it’s not worth it.

Honestly, guests won’t spend much time in the ceremony room, so I would just use what’s there and use the Chiavaris for the reception only. Maybe figure out an inexpensive way to dress up the ceremony chairs or at least draw attention away from them. Let the bees help you with that! You’ll be amazed at how many creative ideas are out there. 🙂
