Hey there! I’m having the hugest headache from looking at venues and was wondering if anyone has any advice :)<br /><br />We’re going to have about 150 people at our wedding. I was hoping to find a reasonably nice place with some nice outdoor space attached, but it seems every place that fits the bill also requires us to use their caterer… and the costs just go up from there. We were hoping to bring our own food in (as in, making most of it ourselves) cos we’re trying to keep it lower cost- neither me nor my parents are especially well-off to afford something expensive; my fiancee & his family are Australian, and although his parents are helping pay for the wedding, they’re also having to pay tidy sum for the flight down here for their whole family. Community halls seem like the only option, but they’re mostly pretty daggy and/or too small, and again, with half our guest list coming from 13,0000 km away, we kind of want it to be relatively nice 😛 I’m open to the idea of doing an outdoor wedding, but I’m also a bit leery of doing one outside in July in Edmonton (main concerns are storms & mosquitoes). <br /><br />Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do? Venue advice? I’d appreciate it so much!
