I’ve been to two Rochester weddings. The first was at a hotel, and I don’t remember which one. The second was at something called “The Chatterbox Club” – it used to be a women’s social club. It was really nice!! The ball room was beautiful, and it definitely didn’t feel like just another hotel ballroom. That was for a big wedding (~200 guests?) and I have no idea how much it cost, but it was nice.

Hi congrats on your engagement!  I say to also check out, Shadow Lake (where my reception is), Irondequoit Country Club, Eagle Vale, Woodcliff Hotel, the Hyatt, Webster Country Club, Italian American Community Center, Memorial Art Gallery, Artisan Works, George Eastman House.

How many people are you thinking of inviting? Also do you know your budget yet?  Some of these places are more expensive than others.

I’m not sure what type of venue you want-outdoor/indoor? I personally wanted an outdoor wedding since we are doing a 4th of July wedding with about 100-120 people. I wasn’t satisfied with any of the venues/prices until I looked into the Rochester Plaza Hotel downtown and the lady sent me the information which was only $59.95 pp for the inclusive package!!! It even includes the four hr open bar and the WEDDING CAKE. I couldn’t believe it. They provide centerpieces also, but I think I am going to use my own. Let me know if you want me to email you any information over. I just went and booked it 2 weeks ago so I have pictures too. The tent is gorgeous, which is situated on their patio by the river, and I didn’t realize until we went to see it that we have the entire indoor part next to it!!! Which is nice, in case it’s super hot and people want to go chill in the AC for a while. Some other places I know that are in the reasonable price range are Burgundy Basin, Webster Golf Club, and Shadow Lake. Good luck with your search and let me know what you decide on!:)

@Almost Mrs.P:  Ahh awesome! Are you in their ballroom then? I called there before I talked to anyone from the RPH and she made it seem like they didn’t even do weddings there! She actually started talking to me about how I should do my wedding at Pier 45, it was really strange! lol. How much did you get yours priced at per person if you don’t mind me asking?

Oh yah I forgot to ask!! When is your wedding date? Have you researched into any of the florists, photographers, or officiants here yet? I haven’t even gotten that far and your wedding seems to be in the same price range as mine, so I was wondering if you have found any vendors who are reasonably priced?

How many people are you planning on having? If your having a small wedding (fifty people or less) check out Warner Castle. It’s one of the most beautiful places in Rochester. Ps. I just saw that this was from two years ago, and that you already had your wedding. I decided to post anyway because Warner Castle is seriously gorgeous! The next time you guys are visiting you should go see it.
