I think I’ve found the venue!!! Yes finally, but my colors seem very very off in the type of venue it is… It’s pretty modern looking, all wood floors and many wood beams (lots of windows everywhere) it’s modern with a casual feel… I’ve bounced around ideas from blue and green with brown to pink and brown to pink and black… were going to look at flowers tomorrow so I was hoping someone could help me out with color schemes that work well with lighter wood… Our wedding is smack in the middle of casual yet formal with an outdoor ceremony.

I’m starting to think my original idea of turquoise and lime was the best for this brown room, lol. Plus these colors are fun but can still be casual or fancy… Yes or no?

I like all your color schemes, but given your venue choice I would suggest going with the brown, blues, greens, very light coppery sand color and a brilliant accent color. I think jewel tones with an earthy brown color would be beautiful for lighter wood floors. Also, this color schemes can be the right amount of casual and if you add a bold accent color – it makes the theme more modern (i.e. blues and browns with coral or plum accent color). Good luck!
