Advice needed. I found a venue that I really like and it’s meeting all my needs plus more.
I contacted Candice (venue coordinator) to set up an appointment to view the venue and the initial contact was wonderful. She responded fast, provided initial information and answered some of my questions in back to back emails. However, things became difficult when I tried to make arrangements to view the venue. I live in S. Cal and is having my wedding in N. Cal and will be up North for thanksgiving weekend to tour some venues so I have to plan ahead.
Candice initially told me that she will not be available that weekend which I completely understood. But she also told me that she may have someone available to show me around and that she’ll have to double check.
Since that last email, she never got back to me. I had to reach out to her twice and she finally responded to me after being MIA for 3 weeks and 2 days. And when she finally did, it was just to see if I can meet on Sunday instead of Saturday. No, “sorry” or an explanation of her lack of response. I told her “yes” and just gave her the benefit of the doubt but I haven’t heard anything back from her to confirm.
Are these the “warning” signs people always talk about? Normally, I would have said forget it, but after all the details that I’m getting from other venues, this one is winning (price and look of venue). But now I’m afraid that she’ll be a nightmare to work with.
