I am also a perfectionist, and I also love my venue; however, their linens are also ivory with gold swirl, and they don’t go to the floor. I was going to rent and/or make the table linens, but I really can’t justify the cost. And it was stressing me out for quite awhile. With all of that, I have decided to just use their tablecloths and I made our napkins. My gown is white and our main cake color will be a light ivory. I am just making it work. I really don’t think that it will look bad at all, and it will give the reception a softer look, which I am going for. I think that with your colors, you could also make it work and it will look great. Try googling for pictures of wedding held at your venue. I did and it made me feel a whole lot better.

We are supplementing with table runners to tie in our wedding colors. They were 75% less than renting table linens. Good luck =)

here is a really pretty picture of layered tulle as tablecloths.  Since it is a cheap fabric, maybe you could buy some in one of your wedding colors and add one or two layers over the ivory tablecloth?

The tulle idea is beautiful. But if you didn’t want to worry about spending more or adding anything, I really think that you’ll be the only one to notice the difference of white and ivory.
