I am also on team shuttle. We provided one from the hotel to the reception and the reception space had free valet parking. It was just easier and more convienent for the guests.
As for where to put the shuttle information, we put it on our wedding website and spread the word through friends and family. We also put it in the hotel welcome bags, on a little card. You can put it on a details card or on the website and just let people know by word of mouth. I wouldn’t put it on the invitation.

Rather than requiring guests to meet at your parents’ house, include an insert that states that there will be extremely limited parking and then offer the option of meeting at the house at a certain to take a shuttle to the venue. If some people decide to chance it with the parking, that is a choice they should have. In the alternative, you could provide uber or lyft codes that people could use to get themselves there. This would give guests more flexibility and take away the hassle of coordinating drivers/hiring shuttles.
