slomotion :  so sorry! I would imagine that whatever is in your contract should be honored! Is there any place in the contract that mentions the use of the bridal suite and the area where the bar is? I would definitely try to meet with her face to face again. I feel like it’s easier to say no to someone over the phone rather than in person. I hope she’s not purposely trying to avoid you! That’s bullshit and I would be annoyed too. Is there any way you can go try to see her again soon? I think the more you push it the more she will cave…

That’s crazy. Bitch to her and try to get a good chunk of your money back or threaten her with court if she doesn’t honor your contract.

You are not crazy and this is not okay. While I usually consider this a last resort if you can’t get them on board pronto perhaps start hitting them on FB and yelp with your situation? Sadly it seems this route gets a better response these days vs. reminding them what they’ve contractually agreed to or what they should do.

If they don’t give you the room they promised you, you should ask them to reimburse you for x amount, and also add on to that the cost of a hotel and limo for you and your bridesmaids to use for the day of your wedding!

slomotion :  Maybe we can find you another place, in case things don’t work out.  There are other bees that have done it a month out.  What are your top priorities?  I did some scouting around already.

slomotion :

yep it call for a freakin’ pissed moment bee!!!

1. maybe check with a lawyer before meeting the owner to know your rights and an effective language to use 😉

2. perso id prepare a plan B to be safe

3. after your wedding leaving exact review (3 strikes they have so far… and you got stood up for the meeting so… 4 “off with her head!”)

slomotion :  I sent you a list of some possible options.  It seems like most DFW doesn’t list prices, and you have to call, but I hope what I sent will help, and give you some leverage, if they won’t meet the contract, hopefully you will be able to have the ability to get your money returned and walk .  . .hopefully to a better venue.
