    That is insane! Ours is $75 and that is only if it is after 4:30pm.

    Completely ridiculous. Ours is free the night before and they even give us enough time to set up all our decorations.

    I don’t know what could possibly cost $400 if dinner is not included. I would not pay that much.

    $400 is a lot for a rehearsal time, but that’s probably not how they are looking at it. To them it’s another night when they could potentially have a wedding. And I don’t think $400 it’s ridiculous at all, if you think about it that way. They may have a better price if you do it earlier in the morning or afternoon. Otherwise, I think it’s fine to do a mock up at a different location, just make sure you can lay things out the same way they will be at your site.  Think about sightlines at your site. But I think you could do it.
