(Closed) Venue reservation??

If you decide to book make sure the venue includes a military clause, so that if he’s deployed or occupied some other way you don’t lose your deposit. The best thing to do is just be upfront with the venue as far as this goes. We were very clear with all our vendors and they were all fantastic. Everyone understood our situation and was willing to work with us if we needed to move things around.

How long will it be until he is at a command? If it’s less than 6 months, just wait until he gets there and sees a general deployment schedule. You might find a more opportune time, but even if you’re firm on the date summer 2014 shouldn’t be too booked up at that point.

If it’s going to be a year or something like that and you’re sure you’re set on the venue I say book it, as long as they’re willing to be flexible (within reason, of course).
