The very first thing we decided was the atmosphere and area we wanted..
We are about 45mins away from the beach, city & vineyards so we had so many options for venues and I found it to be the most overwhelming thing to plan lol.

Are you city people or country people? Do you want it to be intimate or funky?

OWe chose the vineyards, and I purchsed a magazine called ‘Hunter Valley Brides’. It had a table in it that had venues with their min and max limit, price ranges etc.
Once you have decided on the type of venue/area you want, maybe contact a few venues in the area and check for availability and prices.. Then you can make your own table up and have everything in front of you before you decide?

We are getting married October 2013 and I started looking for a venue in December 2012 and still ha issues with places being booked out so I would get it sorted ASAP 🙂

Hope this helps!
