Yikes! After finally working out the details with the florist to do some tables with a trio of varying height cylinders with a drowned orchid in the tallest, all 3 topped with floating candles and surrounded by 3 votives, my venue manager sends me this from the fire marshall: Candles must be in glass containers that shield the flame. They must not be able to tip over easily. They must be self-extinguishing if they are tipped over.
Now what? I can’t even find anything about self-extinguishing candles other than tapers I saw online on Amazon.com. Anyone familiar with this or have advice? I’m thinking I should play ignorance?
Your help and advice is GREATLY appreciated!!!
